Accessibility Statement
Gravitas Audio is committed to making this website accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. We believe that the web should be open to everyone, and we actively work to ensure our site meets modern accessibility standards.
Standards compliance
This website is designed to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, as adopted by:
- Israel: Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law (1998), Regulation 35 on Internet Accessibility
- European Union: European Accessibility Act (EAA, 2025)
- United States: Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508
Accessibility features
This site provides the following accessibility features:
- Skip navigation: A skip link appears when pressing Tab, allowing keyboard users to bypass navigation and jump directly to main content
- Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements are reachable and operable via keyboard alone
- Focus indicators: Clear, high-contrast focus rings appear on all interactive elements when navigated by keyboard
- Semantic HTML: Pages use proper HTML5 landmarks (
main, nav, footer) and heading hierarchy - ARIA labels: Interactive regions and components are labeled for screen readers
- Color contrast: Text color meets or exceeds WCAG AA minimum contrast ratios (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text)
- Reduced motion: The site respects the user's
prefers-reduced-motionsystem setting and automatically disables decorative animations - Pause motion button: A visible "Pause motion" control allows any user to stop animations at any time
- Native cursor preserved: The custom cursor is hidden when using keyboard navigation, and the system cursor is always available
- Keyboard shortcuts: Optional shortcuts (triggered with Shift modifier) do not conflict with screen readers or browser shortcuts, and can be safely ignored
- Responsive design: The site adapts to different screen sizes and zoom levels up to 400%
Known limitations
We are aware of the following limitations and are actively working to address them:
- Canvas-based visualizations: Decorative waveforms, signal cables, EQ curves, and plugin simulator graphics are rendered via HTML Canvas and do not expose data to assistive technologies. These elements are marked
aria-hiddenand contain only decorative content — no essential information is conveyed through them - Plugin simulators: The interactive audio simulators on product pages are visual demonstrations. All purchasing information, product details, and core content remain fully accessible via keyboard and screen reader
Technologies used
This site relies on the following technologies for compliance:
- HTML5 with semantic landmarks
- CSS3 with media queries for responsive and reduced-motion support
- JavaScript (ES6+) for interactive features, with graceful degradation
- ARIA 1.2 attributes where native HTML semantics are insufficient
Browser and assistive technology support
This site has been tested with:
- Modern browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge (latest two major versions)
- Screen readers: VoiceOver (macOS, iOS), NVDA (Windows)
- Keyboard-only navigation
- 200% and 400% browser zoom
